Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

implied custody, custody modification

my brother, the father of a 5 year old boy was given ''custody'' by handwritten statement by the mother in October, 2000. The boy has lived with the father on a continuous schedule with the mother having visitation until yesterday. The mother came with law enforcement officers, and removed the child, because the father reported welt-like bruises on the other son, a 2 year old to authorities. What can be done to return the five year old as soon as possible to the father according to Ohio law? What attorney in Henry, Paulding or Putnam County would be best to hire to handle this matter?

Re: implied custody, custody modification

It sounds like a case for the appropriate court in Ohio to handle. You need to file papers for custody in that court and you should consult an attorney ASAP before filing. Sorry, I don't know any attorneys in Ohio to recommend.
