My wife abandoned me 19 months ago....can I have the marriage dissolved on my own?

Maybe. The divorce papers can be prepared and filed. Notice of the proceedings will have to be served upon you wife. If she does answer, the divorce may proceed uncontested. You will be required to obtain a hearing date and move forward on your own.

Yes you can. You would indicate her last known address on the petition, there would be a publication which gives her a chance to come around, and if she does not appear, the divorce will proceed without her.
