Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

my mother passed way iam 19 and my sister is 23...my stepfather says he gets the house and the cars and the life insurance and her 401k... we get nothing...not even personal items...my mother did not have a will...she depended on my stepfather to be fair with us but he isnt...is there any thing we can do?

Yes, when an person dies without a will, the law makes provisions for the family that remains behind. The natural born children of the person who dies are entitled to a certain share of that parent's estate. You would have to determine whether your mother has an estate--or any assets--that she left behind to get distributed.
