Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Paying medical when child turns 18

Once a child turns 18 (is a senior in high school and works) is the parent responsible to pay for the outstanding medical which insurance doesn't cover? The divorce decree just states that I have to pay child support until the child reaches 19 or graduates whichever comes first. As far as medical, it just states that what ever isn't covered under insurance the parents split the costs. The bills are sent to my 18 year old child, am I responsible for half of them by law?

Re: Paying medical when child turns 18

You are responsible for half the medical for the full duration of the child support order. That is either 18 and finishes high school, or 19 in any case.
