Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

Personal Loan

On April 8, 2005 a friend borrowed $2800.00. At the time she wrote me a letter stating this was a loan and she would repay me when her CD matured on May 31st, 2005 with $200.00 interest. I have not spoken to her since August. She will not respond to any phone calls or messages I leave her. What can be done?

Re: Personal Loan

You need to reduce the loan to judgment. Go to a small claims court and get a judgment against her, then use the court's other garnishment and bank account freezing powers to collect.
