Legal Question in Immigration Law in Ohio

I am a u.s.citizen. I am a petitioner for my two sisters and brother's family. I want to ask you if my income is not match what 2009 poverty guidelines need, what can I do ? may I use my assets and my spouse's assets add together, but my spouse was laid off this year. can i just use my spouse's assets only. I am sponsoring total 12 persons(including my spouse and my two kids) on my form I-864, my current income is about $20,000. our assets add them up about $ 550,000. Do you think they enough to sponsoring that many persons? do I have to need a join sponsor for my form I-864?

A little more information is needed to be sure about this. You need five times the net assets to make up for the lack of income. You can deduct your income from the assets required for that number of people involved. Knowing when you sponsored everyone could also affect the level and their immigration status too. I'm just not sure based on the information you've provided. If you need added help, it will be with a co-sponsor or a joint sponsor or both.

With nine additonal people to have to sponser, you may need a joint sponser even though you have sufficient assets. I suggest you consult with an attorney.
