Legal Question in Personal Injury in Ohio

I hit pedestrian with vechicle

I hit a pedestrian who was jaywalking while I was trying to make a left hand turn. I called the police. There were no noticeable injuries as the rate of speed I had obtained was 10mph or less and there was no damage to the car. However, the pedestrian was taken by ambulance to the hospital. After giving both our sides of the story to the officer, the pedestrian was cited for the accident. Am I still considered at fault and can I be sued for this?

Re: I hit pedestrian with vechicle

They probably won't bother to sue. It was not your fault. It was good that the person was cited. Best Regards, Edward DiCato
