Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Ohio

My neighbors bamboo shoots have damaged my $20,000 brickwork in my yard. Their roots are all underneath the brickwork and pushing up the bricks. The only way to get rid of it is to take up the brick, dig out the bamboo roots and reinstall the brickwork. I told he before the bamboo too off that this would happen. Is she financially responsible to bring my yard back to it's original condition?

She could be held accountable in a court of law for the damage to the brickwork, yes. What will it cost to fix the brickwork? If the cost is significant enough and you believe the bamboo will cause further damage if left unchecked, consult with a property law attorney to explore how you should take action. It is important in this type of situation that your damages are well documented, so you'd be wise to take photos and videos of the damage the bamboo is doing to your brickwork ASAP.
