can someone go to jail

hello i need help can you tell me if someone can go to jail for not filking there taxes for five years.

Yes. Nevertheless, if you file your tax returns BEFORE the IRS contacts you, typically they do not seek a criminal action. The rule is 3 or more years of non-filing is a presumption of criminal intent. I suggest:

1. You DO NOT SPEAK to anyone from the IRS;

2. You immediately call a TAX LAWYER (you want attorney-client privilege.)
