Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

memorial fund money stolen

My daughters father passed away last year and a memorial fund was set up in my daughters name. After the fund was closed, the check was given to the deceased's mother who refuses to give the money to my daughter. I was planning on setting up a college fund for my daughter but was denied ever seeing the check.

How can I get this money to my daughter? Can I take them to court?

Re: memorial fund money stolen

If the money is substantial enough to go to court and you have proof of what you say, you can file a claim against her.

You need to sue her. That will get you a judgement to collect on. Best Regards, Edward DiCato
