In Ohio, does a will witnessed & signed by 2 witnesses have to be notorized? Does the will have to be filed in a courthouse _to be valid ?

No, a will is only required to be witnessed by two disinterested adults. It does not have to be filed in the courthouse when you are living but will need to be filed with the probate court on your death. Many probate courts allow you to keep your will on deposit for safekeeping.
