Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

a relative just passed away and we wanted to know if it was OK of disposed or give his valuables to other relatives before estate attorney gets involved?

I would not recommend giving anything away at this time. If there is a will then the executor appointed needs to step in and begin the process. If not will then an administrator needs to be appointed. All assets need to be inventoried in order to avoid any personal liability or potential conflicts with beneficiaries and/or family members.
