Children's options on dead beat Dads

Can children sue their dead beat dad's for non payment of child support? If so, where do you start? Do you have to know what assets they have?

Daddy the defendant! pay; pay; pay

Yes, it depends on state law, and in most jurisdictions there are time limits to file the claim; usually some time after the child becomes of legal age. or after being represented. If you know before filing what assets are available you can attach them to secure judgmet, if not you will have the right to discover evidence during the court proceedings.
