Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

How to be emancipated from your mother

We are dealing with an unfit mother who at one point signed over custody to another daughter so as to not lose her other children to the State. What process do we need to go through to have a child emanicipated from her mother who is more worried about the income checks than her daughter's welfare. What is the legal age of majority in Oklahoma? Can she be emancipated from her mother (living in OK) while she is of the manority age (17) in Texas and if she were to file from Texas? A Judge in OK signed something sending her back to her mother's care because the mother - who had no idea where she was for about 3 years - was about to lose the state's money and listed her a runaway so she could get her back and keep the checks coming. She has been constantly pulled out of schools and is wanting to start her life out frim under the ''care'' of her mother.

Re: How to be emancipated from your mother

she cannot simply leave and hope that works. Two choices:

1) Go to OK and appear before a judge and win your case with proof not allegations,

2) wait till she is 18 (not long is it?)
