Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oklahoma

Auto Accident Settlement Question

I was involved in an auto accident (I am not at fault) March 5, 2002. I have suffered soft tissues injuries to my sternum and some to my back muscles. I went thru physical therapy and done a bone scan to my sternum. I am in a process of settling the case with the other party insurance. My medical expenses totaled ~$4400.00. My loss of wages came out to be ~2000.00. The insurance adjuster is telling me that they dont pay for the lost wages unless the doctor requires it. I asked her: how do you want me to go thru the therapy without taking sick leave? So my question to you: Is there anything that I can use as a reference to present to her? Thanks.
