Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oklahoma

Inherited Money

My mother-in-law inherited money from a family estate. My father-in-law has had several strokes and has memory loss. She has to have surgery and need to place him in a home for awhile. Does she have to put up 50% of the estate, since she was the sole person to inherit the estate (her family) or is it hers solely?

Re: Inherited Money

The FIL is disabled, not dead. There is no estate; there is no inheritance. His care will have to be paid for from his funds by his guardian, and/or by medicare if he qualifies. A guardian or agent will be have to be appointed if he does not now have one.
