Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oklahoma

My mother passed away Dec 2005 and at the time I was legal guardian. Is the guardianship still in effect? My mother also had 16 acers of land in her name, is there any way i can be appointed over the land so I can sell it or it be transferred to my name to sell it?

Your powers as guardian ceased when your mother died. However, you are still required to file a final account with the guardianship court to be released/discharged as guardian.

Unless someone was listed on the deed with your mother as a "joint tenent with right of survivorship", to dispose of the land you will need to probate your mother's estate.
