Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Oregon

Neighbor has lied to police about an assult

A few days ago, 2 police officers came into my house and arrested me and said my neighbor had filed assult charges on me. I was shocked and surprised since I never talk to this person and have never touched her. She said that I hit her hand with my car as I drove by...but she actually hit my car with her fist when I drove by and said she wanted to kill me.

She went to the police with her injury on her hand from hitting my car and said My car actually struck her and I hit her hand.

I am 41 years old and have never been in any trouble at all...own a home and have 3 kids...and have never been in a fight or assulted any one...what would be my reason to risk everything on this crazy neighbor who is a drug dealer.

The crazy neighbor has actually just got me fired from a job...by calling non stop to my mananger and making up stories about me. She comes to my house non stop trying to make me talk to her. I am really afraid of her and feel that she has been stalking me and when she says she is going to kill me I think she could.

I served a full day in jail...and it was the most horrible day in my life.

It just seems like anyone can go to the police and make up stories and lie and the police have to follow up and arrest inocent people

Re: Neighbor has lied to police about an assult

You must be in a deep trouble with your neighbor. Why don't you start engaging an attorney within your jurisdiction in order you can protect your life by filing appropriate charges against your false accuser neighbor.
