I'm lost and really really need some help

I have no money for a lawyer, and cannot get a hold of legal aid. I recieved my divorce papers on 6/22/2004 and have 30 days to get a responce to the court and have no idea what to do. I cannot get a loan and I have asked everyone I know if I could barrow money for a lawyer and got no luck. What can I do. Can you please help me. Any advice would be greatly apprecieated and needed. Thank you

Yes, I understand. It's really tough when you badly want and/or need something and you don't have the money to get it. What most people do in such a situation (and we've all been there in one situation or another), of necessity, is to do the best you can under the circumstances without the help of whatever it is you cannot afford.

In this case, go to your local library and start reading the book(s) about how to handle your own divorce, or gather up the few dollars needed to buy the book.

BTW..... nowadays, here in Oregon, a large number of the divorce cases going through the court system, if not the majority of the cases, are do-it-yourselfers, with no lawyers being involved.
