ex step parents
My sister divorced her husband several years ago due to domastic abuse then he remarried. The woman he married encouraged him to kidnap one of my sister's kid's and eventually he was returned to my sister with a stern warning to the new wife from the judge to stay out of the issue. My sister's ex has since divorced the second wife but she continues to text message my sister's kids and encourage them online to rebel against their mother. My sister's son (the one that was kidnapped) has since moved in with the second wife. He's 14. The second wife has denegrated, verbally and threatened to physically abuse my sister in the past (the judge issued a restraining order on the ex wife that she not contact my sister). What are my sister's legal rights?

If I understand your situation, the ex-step mother who has no legal rights associated with the child has enticed the child away from his lawful custodian. Your sister may want to contact the sheriff's office in her county regarding the situation as the ex step-mom may be committing custodial interference. She should also contact a family law attorney in her area. She can do that by calling the Oregon State Bar and requesting a referral to an attorney in her area.
