Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oregon

My mother-in-law signed a power of attorney in California, in 2004, showing California as her residence. She now lives with us in Oregon and is reaching a point where my wife may have to use the power of attorney to handle her affairs. Is the Power of Attorney signed in California still valid?
