If your doctor believes that work is the major cause of your symptoms, you may have a workers' compensation claim for occupational disease. Once the employer is notified of the work injury by either the worker or doctor, it will likely have its workers' comp insurer process the claim. If the claim is accepted, the worker is generally entitled to all medical treatment related to the condition, as well as temporary disability pay authorized by the doctor. If the claim is denied, an Oregon workers' compensation attorney may be able to help.
