Legal Question in Workers Comp in Oregon

ten months ago

i was fired ten months ago after eleven years with the same retail corporation. while i was employed, i began having major problems with my right thumb (tennisinitis) due to stocking and shelving. do i have any recourse to go after the corporation for compensation and medical costs? i had a doctor check and diagnose this problem while i was employed. i filed a claim and it was accepted at the time, but do they still need to honor the claim if i am not employed with corporation currently?
