Legal Question in Banking Law in Pakistan
Legal heir of a deceased bank account holder provided a bank's concerned branch Court's original Succession Certificate empowering him to collect funds from the bank. The branch following Head Office instructions obtained Genuineness of Succession Certificate from the Court concerned. Now Legal Office of the bank is advising branch to obtain certified copy of Court Order. Does obtained written Genuineness of Succession Certificate issued from the Court concerned is not sufficient to release funds to the petitioner/legal heir or Certified copy of Court order is still necessary?
