assumpsit judgement

what is an assumpsit judgement and what are the conditions of such a case in pa. can they put a lein against property or is this only against us personally. if so what can be done about this.

Assumpsit is generally used for contract actions.

A lien is exists against real property if the names in the lawsuit are the same as those on the deed.

The lien lasts against the real estate for a period of five years at which time the judgment can be revived and continue to act as a lien.
