Legal Question in Disability Law in Pennsylvania

Disability Attorney Fees

What does a disability attorney usually charge his client to represent them at a appeal hearing? Can they also charge additional expenses for postage, travel etc? Or is the max they are allowed $6000 or $5300--or if less, 25% of the back pay? I'm just wondering exactly how much of the cut they really get.

Re: Disability Attorney Fees

The may charge 25% of the back benefits. They can either limit it to the $5,300.00 amount or get more. In that case they must file a petition itemized with the time expended and seek approval. Expenses can be charged the client ie obtaining medical reports etc.
