Can a credit card company hold me liable for a debt when they illegally permitted an authorized user to change the address on my account to conceal activity. Does the debt become invalid because they breached the contract?

If you can prove that someone "stole your identity" and used the card without your consent, that should be a defense to any lawsuit brought by the credit card company.
