Is a 93 year old mother responsible for medical bills for an indigent 57 year old unmarried son?

Not generally, but you do not give enough information. Is the man mentally or physically challenged in some way? Did the mother agree to have the son get medical care? And if he is indigent, why is he not on Medicaid?
