Collecting a debt

I lent a boyfriend 14,000 which I took out of 401K. He signed and I have an email agreeing to this. I want to put a lien on a house he is selling in pa. how can I do this to make sure I get my money. He stopped paying me. Cathy

You asked about placing a lien on a home to secure a loan.

You can't do what you propose. Your note is unsecured and it would be unlawful for you to try to secure it it without his permission.

Engage an attorney to sue on the underlying loan default. Once you have a judgment you then may be able to secure that against property.
