Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Credit card debt lien

I have a credit card account that has gone unpaid for nearly 2 1/2 yrs because of a debt management company that didn't do their job. The company is now telling me there are going to file suit and a lien will be put on my home. What does this mean and what can and should I do?

Re: Credit card debt lien

You can and should talk to an attorney in your area. There are frequently defenses to actions by credit card companies and they do not always win these suits unless no answer is filed. If no answer is filed, however, they do win and the judgment would be a lien on any property you own.
