Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

I owned a deli and one of my vendors sued me for a breech in contract and I received a judgement. However I never responded to any of the paper work because they filed it in the wrong county. I am wondering is there anyway around this due to the fact the filed it in the wrong county. also the judgement is for a crazy amount 11k. the contract that was breech only had 4 months left and it was a 151.oo payment a month. I feel they made it a crazy price because I did not respond to the paperwork? could you give me some advice on what to do next?

You should respond to paperwork when you get it, that's the first thing. You NEVER ignore something filed against you in court.

How long ago did they receive the judgment? If it was more than 30 days ago (really more than 10, but can argue about it up to 30) you really don't have much recourse. If it is within that time period, you can ask the court to open the judgment.

Of course, you should hire an attorney to do this correctly. Otherwise, you may be stuck with the $11,000 judgment.
