Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

personal debt

I received a preapproved loan in the form of a check for approx. $6500 from a finance co. I was only able to make the first payment due to a change in my personal life. Can the finance company garnish my wages or put a lien on the house that is in mine and my husbands name?

Re: personal debt

Pennsylvania does not allow garnishment of wages for debts like yours. A lien may be placed against the house. A negotiated settlement with the finance company may be your best option. I offer free consultations.
