Video Tape Laws

I have had some problems with my car being vandalized in a school parking lot. The school dose not have cameras in the lot, so I am wondering if I were to place a hidden camera in my car to video around my car, is this legal? Thanks

Yes you can videotape the public area, but I don't know how effective it would be, even if the camera picked something up. My recommendation is don't park your car in the same area if you know it will get vandalized, your just causing yourself more grief?
