Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

I have a 16 yr old daughter who has stated that she know longer wants her mother to have custody or authority over her. I have paid child support all this time but my daughter does not even live with her mother but instead her grandparents, and my daughter has not received any payments on her own. She has stated that she wants to have me to have full custody of her. What needs to be done in order for this to happen? Can she initiate it or do I have to do it and have her tesitfy? I didn\'t want her involved with the legal issues, but it seems that it has come down to that.

You have to file a Petition for custody. Because of your daughter's age and the situation it sounds to me like there would not be a problem with you having custody. Child support may be an issue if your ex was on welfare.
