Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

can I still get a divorce if I can not find my spouse?

My husband and I have been legally seperated for 6 years. a few years ago I had lost contact with him. I tried e-mailing him no response. The divorce should so be so easy, theres no property to divide. Custody is already taken care of and child support is taking care of. I tried finding him so he can sign the papers, but no luck. can I still get divorced?

If he is paying support then the DRO knows where he is. If your have the patience you can contact the DRO to find out his address.

Even for a divorce based on 2 years separation you need to serve the divorce complaint on your soon to be ex-husband. After that all other service can be by first class mail. Even if he doesn't respond the divorce will happen just not as fast as if he responded to each service.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
