Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

If the paternal grandparents of a baby suspect that the parents are using marijuana, can they legally use such threats as "If you do not give us your child, we are going to call the cops immediately", take the child, and refuse to give the child back until the child's parents are seen as "fit" from their point of view?

Not really. They could call the cops though they will have the matter referred to Children and Youth, Threatening to do that isn't illegal though it's really dumb. After you have the right to not let them see their grandchild. Or you could move to Montana.

I would try to talk them out of it. Look at it this way. If what the say is true, Then maybe it's their fault dad's parents. So if they messed up raising him because he uses drugs why should they have the chance to repeat their bad parenting?
