Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

I'm a single mother who lives in Pa. My son is 3 weeks old. His fathers name is on the birth certificate and lives in Nj. We are not married or together. As of now who has custody of the child? And how do I go about getting sole legal and physical custody of my child with visitation for the father?

Both of you have custody right now. Until there is an order from the court, you both have equal rights to the child. If you would like to get a custody order, you will need to retain a lawyer and file a custody complaint.
