Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Basically I as seperated from my wife. Her car broke down her father bought her a car and appartently she was suppose to pay him back. I never talked to him and never knew how much the car was paid for or what she borrowed or how much she agreed to pay him back. He now says he is suing me for half of the car amount. I signed nother and never spoke to him. Does he have a case.

Since you signed nothing, and the car (I assume) is not titled in your name, I cannot see any circumstances that you would be liable for half of the amount of the car. Even if you were not separated, and your wife applied for a credit card in her own name, you would not be responsible for charges she made. The fact that you were separated at the time, only makes your case stronger. That is my opinion. To be sure, I would schedule a consultation with a local lawyer to be sure. You might end up getting sued by her father, but you should win that case, especially with a lawyer on your side.
