my dog bit and killed my neighbors dog what are my legal obligations?

The question has insufficent information. The circumstances of the incident are relevent. Were both dogs on leashes or running free. Does your dog have known violent tendencies ie it has bit others previously. without all the facts it is difficullt to provide an opinion.
