Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

False Advertising

I work as an exotic dancer in Pennsylvania. I quit the club I was working at in March of 2004. After leaving the club I asked them to remove pictures of me from their website which they did. However within the past week new pictures of me saying I am working there have appeared on their website and I was wondering what the best way of dealing with it since the owner refuses to take the pictures off. Thank you

Re: False Advertising

The best way of dealing with your problem is to see a lawyer immediately. Although you may have signed papers concerning the photographs, a properly worded letter from an attorney may cause the owner to remove your picture. If you did not sign any papers, it would seem that you have a good legal case against the business for using your photos without your consent. Either way, see a lawyer.

Re: False Advertising

Normally you would be able to control the use of your image by someone, particularly by a business. The question is, at any point did you give up that right. In other words, did you sign something that said that the pictures are the property of the business to use as they saw fit.
