Certainly you can sue him. Unfortunately, his insurance, if any, will not defend him and will not pay because this was an intentional act. Unless he owns property, money or other assets in his own name, any judgment you might get against him is probably not recoverable. In Pa, a married person's property is exempt from execution unless 1) he owns property in his own name or 2) you get a judgment against him and his wife together. If he was arrested because of this incident, the Court can order him to pay ypur medical bills. No lawyer is going to take your case unless there is the liklihood of an actual recovery, or you pay by the hour.

Good Luck

On further thought, you may be able to recover from the PA Crime Victims Fund. Google this and will take you to a website where you can apply online.
