Can i sue my ex for putting false charges on me that got me incarcerated for 58 days? I was found not guilty and the case was dismissed. she claimed i assaulted her with a knife. it was dismissed because she sent me a text a week prior to the alledged event saying she was gonna put me away. and how do i go about suing her?

You can sue her, but your chances of ever recovering any oney from her are slim. First, no lawyer would take such a case on a contingency basis, so you would have to pay your lawyer up front. Second, unless your ex has a lot of money and owns things in her own name, you will have trouble collecting on any judgment. Finally, even with that text, you will need more evidence to prove that she deliberately made false charges against you. If you are determined to go after her, you should file an action in small claims court (district justice court) on your own, and see what happens.
