Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Hit and Run

I was run off the road into oncoming traffic by a young girl on a cell phone and sustained damage to my car only. I got her license and description of the car and informed the police to make a complaint the next day. The police located the individual, her parents were apparently told, however, we have been waiting a week for the police to let us know if the girl's family every called them back, if she addmitted it, etc. We do not want this situation to get ''cold''. Is there any way we can get her name? Can we possibly get her information? We just want her to pay for our car. The police station is always so busy and we cannot continue to sit and wait for someone to give us an answer on this.Kindly let me know. Thanks so much!!

Re: Hit and Run

There should be a police report or incident report on file with the police. You can obtain a copy of this report which will have the information you are seeking. Go to the Police Department and find out the procedure for obtaining the report. There might be a nominal cost involved.
