Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

How do I make my demand letter more powerful

Because of my lack of money and the underlying complexity of this issue, I found it necessary to write my own demand letter. The bank, CEO and legal department here in Pittsburgh is the intended recipient. The letter is written but, with my signature, I'm afraid it has no teeth. I'm not an attorney and would obviously be the plaintiff. I'm demanding payment of over $1M. Is there any way to give this letter more teeth? Do any of you high powered attorneys out there wish to take a look? Thanks,

Richard

Whether such a letter is taken seriously will depend on whether they think you're serious about pursuing it and whether they think what you're asking for is a reasonable estimation of the damages or loss. Otherwise, if you ask for $1M and it's a $5,000 case, they'll think you're a kook.

You didn't say what the dispute was about, so I'm not sure how to word the letter only in theory.
