Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

personal information lost by employer

large national co loses empoyees info when a laptop computer is lost or stolen was it legal for them to have such information on a portable device and their offer of 1year of credit fraud does not seem fair I should not have to live in fear of identity theft because of their lack of common sense
