The rights of the common law wife
Have lived with a man for 5 years; he has young teenagers, property to be willed to them in event of his death.Can I be left homeless?

If you are unmarried and are not on the title to the property you could be left homeless. Your significant other could in his will allow you to live in the property during your lifetime and then leave the real estate to his children upon your death should he desire not to leave the property to you. You are not a "common law wife." There is no common law marriage in Pennsylvania. Yes, if he leaves his property to someone other than you, you could be left "homeless." He could make arrangements for you if he wishes, however, but it's his choice.
