Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

I worked as a legal assistant for a fairly large CC Philadelphia law firm. I made a complaint to HR about the partner that I worked for. One week later, I was tranferred to a different location. A week after that I was fired. The reason for termination was that "we thought we would have a place for you here, but we don't." I was told when I accepted the transfer that there was "a great opportunity in another office". I think that I was terminated as a retaliatory action. I need some advice regarding if this is how others interpret this.

What was the nature of the complaint with the partner? Did you feel he/she was discriminating against you on some basis ie sex, age, race, religion, enthnicity, disability etc. If so you may have some claim and must timely file with either the PHRC or eeoc. When did this happen there are strict time limits when to file. If there was no dicriminatory reason for the firing but it was only because you could not get along with the partner due to the way he acted in general then the situation may be different. In any event you should be able to file for unemplyment compensation.
