Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pennsylvania

Hello. My boyfriend & I rented a townhouse in Wilkes-Barre, PA in a very nice apartment complex. The next door neighbor told us yesterday that there were 2 guys who lived here before us & the one committed suicide in this apartment just 2-3 months ago. The management never told us about this & now I'm pretty scared to live here (I'm only 19). Did the complex have to reveal this to us or keep it quiet? If I knew this I would have NEVER taken this specific townhouse. Your reply is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

And how do you know that the neighbor is giving you the straight story? In any case unlike buying a house the landlord is under no duty to disclose.

What you might try to do is talk to the landlord and see if they have an equivalent unit that they would allow you to have in the place of the current town home. You have nothing to lose by asking and for all you know they just might agree to move.
