Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Pennsylvania

Legal Malpractice..? Help please...part 2

I hired my attorney in Late may/Early June 2003 to file a lawsuit against a service station who didnt change my oil properly and destroyed my engine. He was also defending me in a case for a house I sold(the new owner was suing me for a leak he says I knew about). The case was set for a court date on Aug 26th, Aug 25th my lawyer called me and said he made a mistake and both cases were to be heard on the 26th so I would have to go to the 1(my house) alone while he went to the other.

I won the case I went to and my lawyer said he won a judgement for me in the other one..for X amount.

It is now Nov 15 and I have investigated all of this..and there has never even been a case filed for me in any court in Bucks county

In fact my lawyer has been lying to me, he never went to court for this, he never filed anything for this..but has been promising me since Aug 26th that my awarded judgement should be in any day now.

I have lost my job, I have been ill due to all the stress, and I am wondering if I can bring up any charges against my lawyer for his lies and the mental angish and physcial stress his actions have caused me as well as the undue stress his deception has cause me and my family during the last 6 months.

If your information is accurate, this attorney has violated the code of ethics and may have committed malpractice. Are your sure the case was not filed in another county or possibly in a district court (small Claims). Check the local district justice for the district where the defendant is located. Also write your attorney a letter requesting copies of documents and an explanation of the event that took place.
