Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Pennsylvania

Medical malpractice

My daughter was admitted to st christopher's hosp during her infancy. She is now 15 years old with a diagnosed learning disability. Is it too late to pursue a case against the hospital? During her stay it was attempted to insert a catheter but failed five times. The nurses also took my daughter into a service closet to insert the catheter. Is there anything i can do?

Re: Medical malpractice

Your daughter, technically, has until her 20th birthday to start a lawsuit if that is appropriate.

I say "technically" because while the law permits the suit, it becomes harder to prove the facts as memories fade, etc. Further, it takes time to investigate, especially when you are looking for 15 year old records.

If you are considering a suit, you should contact attorneys NOW.

Personally I would not be interested based on your description of the event,

BUT another attorney may believe that it is worthwhile to investigate this case.

. . Make your calls ASAP.
